Possible and Practical Data Gathering. I have won 1st
place at regionals in all of these and 4th in BioProcess at the
NC State level
How has
Science Olympiad helped with your career?
SO has
helped me realize my love of experimental science. It
fueled my interested in biology and chemistry and let me see
these subjects in a practical environment, not just in a
textbook or a seemingly irrelevant school lab.
Achievements
I graduated
with a AS from Western Piedmont Community College with high
honors; earning a 2 year full tuition transfer scholarship to
Furman University. I was a Milliken research scholar
during the Summer of 2002 at Furman; and graduated with a BS in
chemistry in 2003. I am currently a graduate student in
Chemistry at Duke University
Are you
still involved with Science Olympiad?
Writing
events for NC Region 8; working at the NC Region 8 tournament as
a proctor and supervisor.
