Science in the City 2008

On October 18, 2008, Science Olympiad volunteers engaged more than 5,000 Chicago students and families with the Gummi Bear Long Jump, a fun physics-based hands-on activity.  Partnering with World Sports Chicago, the Chicago Public Schools and the City of Chicago, Science Olympiad once again created a public outreach science challenge which was inexpensive, replicable and informative.  Each competitor received an eight-page info packet and a catapult model kit.  To download a copy of the packet, go to the Science in the City 2008 site.
