What's special about the University of Delaware's program?
You will be part of an applied science program with strong connections between professors and students — in the classroom, in the laboratory, on research projects and in club activities. Invent an ice cream flavor. Perform sensory and market analysis of your new flavor at our UDairy Creamery. Conduct research in our food science labs. Explore the interface between farm and fork side-by-side with animal scientists. Use UD’s numerous connections to secure internship opportunities with local and national food companies, as well as industrial and governmental research labs. Participate in all the exciting, hands-on activities of our Food Science Club. And take advantage of networking and professional development provided by the Institute of Food Technologists and its student and regional chapters.
