No, per rule 3.c., the measurement point needs to be on the front of the vehicle, not the sides or back, however it does not have to be the foremost part of the vehicle, per rule 8.e.iii. There may be parts of the vehicle that are in front of the measurement point as long as the bottom is accessible for measurement.
